Here’s what happened in April.
Purposeful luxury
Milan Design Week depicted a shift in consumer sentiment throughout luxury. In search for purposeful experiences (with regard to travel, beauty, lifestyle), we took part in an intimate aperitivo hosted by Aeir, in the heart of Milano. Discussing the future of fragrance and luxury, we came to realise the purpose of scent. Who knew something so unmistakably rose could be made without it?
Teaser: An herbal affair
C’era invited us to stay grounded and close our eyes while the smell of freshly cut grass on a sunny day surrounded Salone del Mobile. Touched down at the herby composition of Earth, we took part in the debut of the fourth candle. Ecological wax, wrapped in Italian-made ceramic - Erba - tickled, yet calmed the senses.
Shipping to soon-to-be-confirmed locations will commence in September.
Travel, timelessly (pun not intended)
There we were in front of a castle with the portcullis staring back at us. MAD and Hatton Labs raised the bars: fortress-inspired caging, diamonds (white pyramid-cut and baguette style) featuring a pyramid-cut sapphire on the crown. Profoundly flamboyant
Pioneers of style and heritage collaborated and delivered. Globe-Trotter x BAPE allowed us to choose from three travel companions - meet The Carry-On, Large Check-In and London Square. Blue, green and pink shades boasting BAPE’s signature camo print made us fully equipped for our next trip.
Lastly, we spoke to three of our brands about the serious things: the meaning of what they do, the essence of their being.
