Inspired by the legendary artist Louise Bourgeois, THE SKATEROOM takes adversity head on and has released a collection addressing struggle and femininity.
Aiming to preserve the artist’s legacy, the social enterprise has worked closely with The Easton Foundation to cultivate new interpretations of her work through 4 limited-run skateboard art pieces, with only 100 per edition. The key collection comprises of Femme Maison, Ode à Ma Mèr, Extreme Tension and Les Fleurs; where Bourgeois expresses her childhood psychological states through a visual vocabulary of formal and symbolic mediums.
10% of the revenue goes towards empowering and educating young girls from all over the world through Skateistan’s program.
