Attending the Skins press day in Amsterdam at the end of September was an unforgettable experience for us at NAMES. It wasn’t just another event—it was a chance to immerse ourselves in the beauty industry, connecting with key people and introducing Blind Barber ahead of our exciting multi-door launch.
Skins, with its 20 stores across the Netherlands, Belgium, and South Africa, is already a recognised leader in luxury beauty. Their growth has been remarkable, with five more store openings planned by the end of this year. Their partnership with Vendis Capital has only added to their momentum, and it’s been inspiring to see their expansion.
The atmosphere at the event was truly special—warm, welcoming, and perfectly designed for real conversations. We had the pleasure of meeting the passionate Skins team, including those who will manage the new stores. The event felt like a reflection of the vision and leadership of founders Philip and Claudia, who have built something truly extraordinary.
It was also inspiring to meet the other brands joining the Skins family. Seeing how they fit into Skins' carefully curated world reminded us of the strength of our own portfolio. Introducing Blind Barber to Skins feels like a perfect match—there’s a clear synergy between the two brands, and we’re proud to have played a role in creating this connection. Skins will help bring Blind Barber’s story from the USA to Europe in a fresh and exciting way.
For NAMES, this partnership is about more than just business—it’s about shared values and storytelling. Skins provides an incredible platform for our names to connect with customers in an elevated multi-brand setting, yet in an authentic way. As we move forward, moments like these remind us of the importance of personal relationships with our retail partners. The future looks very bright, and we are excited about the opportunities for growth and collaboration that lie ahead.
